Resisting all fear.

Tomorrow is scan day.

We have to be at the hospital at 6:00am and Jackson's MRI (the only test he is getting this time) is at 7:00. It should last an hour or so and then he will go to recovery for awhile. Our clinic appointment is at 11:00 and hopefully we will have results then.

Last week I was a wreck. Every time I thought about Monday, April 11th, I would have to catch my breath and try to coax my heart back into beating normally. But the past day or so I have calmed down and I'm ready.

I know he is cancer free and will continue to be. Tomorrow is just a formality ;)

This morning my devotional talking about "coming to God in faith and resisting all fear". Very fitting. That's what I'm doing--or, that's what I'm trying to do.

Don't forget to wear green (or "gring" as he says) tomorrow for Jackson! It doesn't matter what you wear that's green...just say a prayer every time you lay eyes on the green item. Pray for an easy port access. Pray for no complications from anesthesia. Pray for calmness for Jackson. Pray for an anxiety-free day for Ryan and I. Pray for a cancer-free future for our baby.

We would love pictures of you in your green! You can email them to lindsayjmarkert@hotmail.com.

Your love, support and prayers are SO very appreciated. I can't put into words how much it means to have so many people behind our sweet boy, rooting him on and praying for his health, his future, his life.

  1. I've been praying for Jackson daily, and my son wore green for him today. He's at daycare now, but I'll get a picture this afternoon and send it to you by email. :) Praying for good news today!
